Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, are located about 80 miles west of Barbados and 25 miles south of Saint Lucia, on the lower end of the Windward Islands.

Saint Vincent, the main Island, has spectacular scenery, including; Mt. Soufriere, a 4000 foot active volcano, towering waterfalls, and lush rain forests.  Saint Vincent is also home of the oldest Botanical Gardens in the Western hemisphere.

The Grenadines, location for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, are a collection of smaller Islands with beautiful bays, beaches and the world’s third largest coral reef.

Travel Tips
Climate / Packing
Flights: San Juan Puerto Rico and Barbados are the main connections from the U.S. to Saint Vincent.  Liat Airlines http://www.liatairline.com/  among others, offer connecting flights.

Passports are required visiting Saint Vincent.

Currency: U.S. dollars, Eastern Caribbean dollars, and Credit Cards are accepted.
Climate:  The temperature ranges 75 to 85 degrees most of the year with an occasional rain shower during our sailing season.

Packing: Pack light!  Bring collapsible soft-sided luggage that will stow easily.  In the islands, casual, comfortable, cool clothing is best.  Shorts, T-shirts, Polo shirts, skirts, sundresses will be all you need.  Remember you camera, swimsuit, walking shoes, sandals, cap or floppy hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Sample Itinerary
Thursday
Arival Day - Blue Lagoon 

Airport transfers included
Plan for dinner at the Marina.
Sleep aboard included.

Plan to arrive in Saint Vincent on Thursday.  You will be greeted at the airport then taken to Blue Lagoon marina.  The evening, you'll enjoy a welcome aboard drink and light appetizers before dinner.

Friday
Day One - Mustique
Plan for dinner ashore.
Breakfast/lunch included.

From Blue Lagoon, we sail to the beautiful island of Mustique, famous for stately villas and world class beaches.

We'll enjoy sundowners at sunset, and dine at Basils Bar, where there is always a jump-up (party) going on. 

Saturday
Day Two - Day on Mustique
Group barbecue on board the yacht included.
Plan for optional dinner ashore.
Breakfast /lunch included.
Island tour and picnic included.

Today is your day to ease into island time.  You can take a morning swim then get ready to be treated to an island tour and picnic lunch on a secluded beach.

For dinner we can barbecue aboard, (included) dine at Basils, or for something really special you can make reservations at the exclusive Firefly resort.

Sunday
Day Three - Tobago Cays 
Group lobster or fish barbecue dinner included.
Breakfast/lunch included.

Tobago Cays a spectacular anchorage consisting of four uninhabited islands.  You can go for a swim, snorkel with the turtles, or just relax on board. 

As a special treat, for dinner we’ll have barbecued lobster with all the trimmings delivered to the boat!

Monday
Day Four - Union Island

Plan for dinner ashore.
Breakfast/lunch included.

Today we’ll spend the morning enjoying home made banana bread.  We’ll then take a short dinghy ride to explore Horseshoe reef that has some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean.

Afternoon we’ll take a short one hour sail to Clifton Harbor, Union island.  Clifton Harbor is a bustling little harbor of boutiques, restaurants, open air markets, and internet availability.


Tuesday
Day Five - Petit Saint Vincent

Breakfast /lunch included.
 
PSV is a secluded private islands resort.   The beaches are beautiful and very private.  Watching the sunset from the resort is a must.  You can plan a special (but pricy) dinner there, or barbeque on board.
Wednesday
Day Six - Mayreau
Group Beach barbeque included
Breakfast/lunch included.

Salt Whistle Bay’s spectacular crescent shaped beach is
perfect for swimming or snorkeling.

A hike up to the village reveals breathtaking views of the Tobago Cays, and the southern Grenadines.  Dinner will be beach barbeque hosted by the locals.  This is great fun and always entertaining.
 

Thursday
Day Seven - Bequia
Plan for dinner ashore.
Breakfast/lunch included.

Today we start to work our way back up island to Bequia.  Port Elizabeth is home to hand-built boats, gourmet restaurants, and thriving retail shops.  Bequia is also the home of the Caribbean’s only county-western band!

Friday
Day Eight - Saint Vincent, Cumberland Bay

Group dinner ashore included.
Breakfast/lunch included.

We’ll stop at the Rasta open air market, and the Gingerbread House bakery for pastry and coffee, then continue our sail up the lush leeward coast to Cumberland Bay.

Saturday
Day Nine - Dark View Falls Hike and return to Blue Lagoon
Group dinner at Sunrise Pizza included
Other dinner options available
Breakfast/lunch included.
Sleep aboard if you wish.
Hotel room ashore is optional.

We'll meet up with our local guide, and drive deep into the country of Saint Vincent to hike Darkview Falls.

The Darkview Falls hike is rugged and beautiful.  The trail crosses a true bamboo bridge and then winds through lush bamboo forest. At the base of the falls, you can wade in the fresh water mountain pool and experience a true waterfall shower.

After our hike we’ll have lunch on board then set sail for Blue Lagoon.  We get back around 4:00 pm.  You’ll have time to relax, and get ready for our last group dinner at Sunrise Pizza.
